"A drink would be lovely, thank you." She's giving him an approving once over.

He leads the way into the loft and to the kitchen island where he gathers two glasses and a bottle of high-end scotch. "Neat?"

She nods, "perfect, thank you."

She's going to wander over to his weaponry display cases to check them out.

He brings the two glasses over once he has poured their drinks. Malcolm offers a smile and extends the glass to her, "I've been collecting for a while," he comments when he sees her looking at the weapons cases.

"They're quite impressive. The craftsmanship is impeccable." Irene appreciates a good antique, especially when it looks very sharp.

"Impeccable craftsmanship comes with the price," he replies, "I can open it if there's any that you want to take a closer look at."

"I do love a good sword." She steps up to one of the cases.

"That's a Wakizashi blade. It's was a back-up sword for close combat used by the samurai," he explains.

"It still looks as if it could split a hair."

"It's still razor sharp," he confirms.

"I'm not entirely sure why that's sexy." She turns away from the case to pull him closer to her. She's waited long enough to touch him.

He smiles at the touch and moves to return it, "Danger tends to be a turn-on for some people."

"What about me would say that I like danger?" It's teasing because the answer is obvious. Of course she gets off on a bit of danger.

"I don't need to be a profiler to be able to see that, Ms. Adler," he smiles to her.

"Does everyone ask you to profile them?" Irene dips her head in to press a kiss to his jawline.

His fingers trace over her arm, "No. Some people don't like the idea of someone seeing them for what they are."

"Mhm, it is a bit intimidating, I'll admit. Most people will only ever see what I want them to."

She doesn't have anything to hide, she knows her flaws and isn't ashamed of them. There's something novel about being with someone who can read you.

"You strike me as someone who has a good view of yourself. I bet you're very good at seeing through other people too."

"I am. I've learned to be very observant."

Irene brushes her fingers through his hair. She's letting down her guard with him.

He tilts his head to lean into the touch of her hand. "So tell me what you see now."

"Are we really going to play deductions when you could be kissing me instead?"

Her idea sounds like a much more enjoyable time.
